2007 Domaine Georges Mugneret Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru "Les Feusselottes"

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Domaine Georges Mugneret Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru "Les Feusselottes" (92JG, 91BH, 90ST). John Gilman: "The Mugneret sisters 2007 Feusselottes is still a bit on the primary side today, but there is superb potential already very much in evidence on both the nose and palate. The lovely bouquet is a blend of cherries, plums, roses, cocoa, a refined base of soil tones and a fine framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very pure on the attack, with a lovely core, moderate tannins, good acids and excellent length and grip on the still fairly young and slightly oaky finish. This wine does not quite have the same mid-palate stuffing as the stunning Mugneret grand crus from ’07, and consequently, it needs a few more years to more fully integrated its new wood completely and is not quite as approachable today. But, in a few more years, this will be a superb drink. " (01/2014)

Burghound

A ripe and agreeably fresh aromatic profile of high-toned red berry fruit aromas and subtle mineral tones that continue onto the naturally sweet, round and lightly stony flavors that offer good volume and a seductive mouth feel as the sap buffers the supporting structure on the balanced, long, linear and mouth coating finish. This stylish effort is a classically-styled Chambolle and should offer 6 to 8 years of upside development potential. *Outstanding* (01/2010)

Int'l Wine Cellar

Medium red. Reticent raspberry and cherry aromas. Tightly wound and not particularly sweet but with lovely energy and grip to its precise red berry and crushed stone flavors. Even less evolved than the Chaignots: this fresh, primary wine needs time to unwind and evolve. 90+ (03/2010)
