2012 Checkerboard "Nash Creek Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Checkerboard "Nash Creek Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend in original wood. Situated on prime real estate on the slopes of Diamond Mountain, Checkerboard estate wines are crafted by the highly accomplished Martha McClellan. From the winery: "At 2, 000 feet in elevation and at the top of the estate is Nash Creek Vineyard. It rests on a flat terrace just below the ridge and is composed of rhyolite. Due to the elevation, the temperatures are often warmer in winter and cooler in summer than the other Checkerboard vineyards below. 2012 Checkerboard Nash Creek is a beautiful expression of its volcanic site. Ripe, dark fruits are lifted by the minerality imparted from the stony soils and intertwine with the French oak barrels, individually selected by Martha, to complement the wine.”
