There is a touch of volatility on the chocolate-scented bouquet that needs time to calm down in the glass. The palate is smooth and caressing on the entry with saturated tannins. Bodegas Muriel is located in the town of Elciego in Rioja Alavesa. The vineyards are located in both Alavesa and Rioja Alta and are planted on clay and limestone soils. The wine is aged for 24 months in a mix of French and American oak and then bottled and aged for two more additional years before its release.
