2010 & 2012 Robert Sinskey Carneros Pinot Noir

Bid on this 6-bottle tasting lot; including 3-bottles of 2010 Robert Sinskey Carneros Pinot Noir and 3-bottles of 2012 Robert Sinskey Carneros Pinot Noir. Of the 2012 Robert Sinskey Carneros Pinot Noir, Robert Sinskey Vineyards is the cult winery that nobody calls a cult winery, an early adopter of organic and Biodynamic winegrowing on over 200 acres of vineyards in the Carneros and Stags Leap districts, and a very culinary-centric operation, too. The winery's note on the vintage writes: "The 2012 vintage created wines that are as close to perfect as we have ever seen. The translucent, ruby red color triggers symptoms of synesthesia as you think you can almost smell or taste the wine just by looking at its vibrant color. Aromas and flavors of cranberry and raspberry are followed by a cinnamon spice and a touch of bramble. The wine is vibrant, almost nervy as the flavors explode across the palate for a nice, long, mouthwatering finish."

Robert Sinskey Vineyards began with Dr. Robert Sinskey’s shift from ophthalmology to grape growing in the early 1980s, starting with the Three Amigos Vineyard in Carneros in 1982. He partnered with Acacia Winery before building his own Stags Leap District facility in 1988, where the first estate wines followed his 1986 debut vintage. Under Rob and Maria Sinskey, the estate expanded to six organically farmed vineyards across Carneros and Stags Leap, adopting whole-farm, regenerative practices and long-term cellar aging.
