Supple, suave and nicely balanced, with harmonious acidity and firm mineral spine giving shape to the musky dark berry flavors. Finishes sweet and persistent. Soft, elegant, and fruity, it reveals abundant amounts of black currant fruit intermixed with sweet cedar and spice. The Corley Family has been a fixture in Napa Valley since 1969, when founder Jay Corley arrived in Oak Knoll with a vision for Burgundian-style varieties and a commitment to estate-grown quality. By 1970 he had established Monticello Vineyards, planting Chardonnay and Pinot Noir before expanding into Cabernet Sauvignon across sites in Oak Knoll, Yountville, Rutherford, and St. Helena. The first crush came in 1980, marking the beginning of the MONTICELLO and CORLEY Reserve labels.
