Of the 2014 Waterford "Kevin Arnold" Shiraz Stellenbosch, Vinous writes: "The 2014 Kevin Arnold Shiraz was matured for 20 months in 225- and 500-liter old French oak barriques. The lifted blackberry, blueberry and crushed violet bouquet gains momentum with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin and tarry red and black fruit, and a touch of allspice and white pepper appears toward the finish. There is a sense of precision and structure to this Shiraz that suggests it will give a decade's worth of drinking pleasure. Excellent. (NM)" (08/2018)
