2006 Lenoble Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Chouilly Champagne

Bid on this bottle of 2006 Lenoble Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Chouilly Champagne (93BH, 91VN). Burghound: "Moderate reduction pushes the fruit to the background though a pronounced yeasty character is still very much in evidence. There is good verve and a relatively fine bead to the delicious and equally yeasty flavors that offer fine complexity on the lemony and relatively dry finish. This is at that point of its development where it could be enjoyed now or easily held for another 4 to 6 years. In fact this would be a good choice to buy a case and enjoy a few bottles each year over the next decade. *Outstanding*" (06/2014)

Vinous

Pale gold. Assertive, mineral-tinged citrus and orchard fruits on the nose, with a suave jasmine nuance adding lift. Smoky and penetrating on the palate, offering energetic orange, anise and buttery brioche flavors and a hint of poached pear. Shows excellent clarity and lift on the finish, which clings with real tenacity and suave florality. (JR) (11/2013)
