Founded in August 2012 by famed winemaker Eulogio Pomares of Bodegas Zárate and his wife, Rebeca Montero, Fento is a personal passion project for the couple, meant to highlight the unique terroir of Spain’s western coast. Fento's mission is to produce fresh and expressive wines that reflect the character of the grapes and terroir. Grapes are hand-harvested with selection done directly in the vineyard. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks, and aging decisions are made based on the character of each year’s harvest. This Albariño is a vibrant and elegant example of the varietal—bursting with fresh citrus peel and stone fruit, balanced by a touch of salinity and brisk, chalky acidity.
