Concentrated and forward, this is produced from a blend of grapes from the domaine's own vineyards and purchased fruit, mostly sourced in the Côte de Nuits. The result is quite successful, with bright, fresh, high-toned pomegranate and cherry aromas, plus a svelte purity on the palate that is not lacking a pleasant substance. Drinking Window 2021 - 2039. A riper and very fresh nose speaks mostly of red berries and earth where the latter element is picked up by the sleek, delicious and vibrant middle weight flavors that flash good detail on the nicely complex, persistent and only mildly rustic finish. This is worth a look. *Burghound Outstanding!*

Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy: "Attractive mid crimson. Very appealing fresh pinot notes, with some structure behind. The barrel has been well used here. Not an immediate wine but this should develop very well over three to five years." (10/2020)
