The Method and Madness line from Pernod's Irish Distillers (the maker of Midleton, Redbreast, and Jameson among many other top flight Irish whiskies) was first released in Ireland in 2017. It's finally made it to the United States. The project allows the masters at Midleton room to experiment with unique mashbills, distillation, and wood profiles outside of the traditional bounds of their staple products. Essentially there is a microdistillery within the walls of Midleton. Three unique expressions are in the first available flight in the US. The single grain is finished in virgin Spanish Oak casks from Galicia. Bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration.
