The Ron Del Barrilito 5 Star is the 138-year-old Puerto Rican distillery's first special release in its history. The first edition of the new 5 Star, first released in 2018, consists of a blend of rums that aged in Oloroso casks for up to 35 years. Distiller notes: "Full Body with strong wood backbone. Aromas of plums, bananas, almonds, vainilla, and caramelized sugar cane. Exceptionally smooth on the palate with a natural sweetness and smoky wood finish."
