Plump and loaded with rich, jammy fruit, this Zinfandel is a pleasure to drink. Bold accents of wild berry, spicy cinnamon and licorice glide dynamically toward plush tannins. Drink now through 2025. (TF)

One of the most consistently delicious Zinfandels out there. Seghesio's 2016 bottling is right on the money. Perfectly ripe, juicy, lush Zin flavors but without seeming heavy or jammy. Pure fruit, lovely balance, incredibly versatile food wine...maybe the ultimate summer BBQ grillin' wine?

I recently had the pleasure of revisiting the 2002 vintage of this American classic and I was absolutely blown away. It showed no signs of age whatsoever. That bodes extremely well for this vintage, as it shows greater potential. This is my favorite under $20 bottle in our inventory.

I have sold this wine over the course of 30 years now. Some vintages are better than others, and I find this one of their best! Great value and classic Sonoma County Zinfandel.

Notes

Zinfandel is the one varietal wine of which Californians can say for sure, “we grow it better here!” Over the past 100 years, the Seghesio family of Sonoma County has had a hand in the wine industry in some form or another. The 2016 is another in a long line of consistent, bold, ripe Zinfandels from this property. This wine will pair surprisingly well with food, so don’t be afraid to serve it for your holiday meals!
