Dark plums, gently toast spices and dark, stony, graphite-like aromas here. The palate has an extremely fluid, charming feel with dark plums and chocolate in terms of flavors. Really supple and effortlessly long. Try from 2022.

Blended of 90% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, the medium garnet-purple colored 2015 de Bel-Air has something of a dark-fruited, animal, broody nose, showing notes of stewed plums, baked blackberries and beef drippings with a waft of bay leaves. Medium to full-bodied, it has a very refreshing palate with a light grip of tannins and a lively herbal lift to the finish.

The 2015 Bel-Air (Pomerol) is a bold, powerful wine. It will be interesting to see if the oak settles down a bit. For now, the oak appears to have dried out some of the fruit and eaten away the richness this wine showed as a barrel sample. (AG)

An impressive Pomerol, full bodied for sure, but it is never heavy. In fact it has a quite lifted nose. It is balanced and absolutely enjoyable now.

This Pomerol is nuanced and expansive, with very spicy aromatics trailed by sage and Ylang Ylang. The palate blooms with ripe blueberry and blackberry, and the tannin structure is soft and fine. The 2015 Bel Air Pomerol is a wine that can absolutely be enjoyed tonight, but will also age beautifully for at least a decade.

A wonderful small property owned by the Sudrat-Melet Family. 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Watch this one for value from Pomerol.
