In 2024 Maucaillou's 1983 Mouilis bottling is now showing some deliciously mature tones of sweet Connecticut tobaccos, dry saddle leather and crunched autumnal leaves. With a sweet-savory balance of plums and truffles that play very nicely off of each other, this is wonderfully aged & old school bottle of Bordeaux!

A very interesting bottling with almost sweet red fruits, cherry, red plum, cedar spice and candied orange. A good match for game bird or savory pork.

Domaine de Maucaillou is just 2.3 hectares of vineyard situated in the heart of Margaux, managed by the two sisters that own the property.
