(5 g/l total acidity; 13% alcohol): Dark ruby-red with a garnet rim. Deep herbal nuances complement dark berry and cocoa aromas. Then rich and ripe in the mouth, with dark fruit and tar flavors offering excellent balance and a bright, lively texture. This lovely wine finishes bright and clean, with a lingering mineral note and an increasingly rich texture. (ID)

A difficult year due to frost, but this shows lovely tobacco and berry aromas, with hints of chocolate. Medium-bodied, with soft tannins and a long aftertaste of chocolate and berry. Still very good. (JS, Web-2007)
