Review Date: 02/2019The producers warn that for those seeking “tasteless” vodka, “this one's not for you.” Agreed: This potato vodka offers a bold, fruity scent, with hints of raspberry and banana on the creamy palate, drinking almost like a white rum. (KN)

Notes
*98 points, Ultimate Spirits Challenge Top 100 Spirits of 2020* This is a small batch vodka made in Pennsylvania from locally grown potatoes by two guys using a copper still. The result is a softer, creamier style of vodka that is milder on the palate than most. This is vodka made by people who really care about quality and precision, and that's obvious at first sip. F. Paul Pacult's Spirits Journal ranked the Boyd & Blair Vodka the 22nd best spirit in the world, making it the Spirits Journal's top ranked Vodka, giving it five stars. In his review Pacult opines, "Wow, this aroma comes flying out of the glass in waves of white potato, starch, and parchment; seven more minutes of aeration don't greatly alter the aromatic profile, but there is a noticeable deepening of the established scents, especially the raw white potato element. Entry is nothing short of luscious, semisweet, chewy, and smooth; midpalate adds cocoa bean, maple, and honey. Aftertaste is graceful, solid, and simply delicious. The best small-scale vodka I've had since the 45th Parallel. So sumptuous and tasty that it's spectacular tasted neat. Best non-Polish vodka available. AWESOME ACHIEVEMENT!"
